Folding / Operable Partitions?

I expected that Operable partitions (Div 10 panelized/movable ceiling suspended systems) would need to meet the testing criteria for this credit, but am not having much luck finding qualified assemblies. As most, it appears manfs cite NAUF wood cores and perhaps v1.1-2010/CHPS qualified vinyl wallcovering finishes. However, some systems use gypsum cores. Is the trick to avoid use of gyp core to basically claim they are exempt from the technical requirements?

Any tips? Its hard to believe no manfs have gotten a product qualified for LEED-Schools / LEEDv4 compliance yet?

When fire resistance is required, a gypsum core panel is usually what is installed. Most interior gypsum boards are GreenGuard Children and Schools certified and compliant with CDPH v1.1-2010.

The credit language specifically requires "gypsum board" which is not the same as gypsum core of an operable partition, and also specifically states "wallcovering," so in this case it is the finish--not the core of the partition in question. Although an operable partition is certainly a type of "wall" consider focusing on documenting this credit with the wallcovering for partitions.
