NC-v4 LTc7:Reduced parking footprint

Calculating per Person

We have a unique project type (zoo) and are using the "other public assembly" use where you calculate parking spaces by "0.25/person in permitted capacity where not seated".  My question is, do we use daily average or peak visitors to calculate how many people are using our site?  Neither the ITE handbook nor Reference Guide really specify, but this makes a pretty big difference.

Hi Amber, What are you using for occupancy counts? Or FTE? I think either of these would be a good benchmark. So, (total full time equivalents+ peak transient visitors)*.25 = total number of spots Then your number will be consistent with other LEED credits that require using a person count, such as Indoor Water use reduction.
