Hi All,
I am working in a project where warehouse is ventilated with roof exhaust fans. The fans are constant volume and it operates continuously. So, is it enough to install a current transducer to alarm/visual display if any one of the fans are switched off to monitor the outdoor air flow.
Thanks in Advance

Hi - Did you ever get any clarity on this item? We have a similar question. Exhaust fans, and then makeup air units that just blow 100% outdoor air. What is the need here for monitoring, other than to note if they stop for some reason? Any ruling from USGBC on that?

For constant volume systems install a current transducer or airflow switch on the supply fan(s).
Notice that the reference guide does not require an alarm for constant volume systems. GBCI has confirmed this is true.....but it still may be a good idea to include an alarm.
