Location of car/vanpools for project with perimeter parking strategy

Hi Sandy, I've had something comparable to this on a hospitality project. All long-term parking was to be provided in an adjacent deck, with a very small number of up-close parking at the entry for short-term drop off and loading/unloading. We had provided carpool and LEV preferred parking spaces in the deck. In the preliminary review, the reviewer suggested that our preferred and carpool spaces needed to be amongst the spots up close to the entry. As a response to the preliminary review, we provided a narrative explaining that the up close spots were temporary spots only, and were intended specifically for unloading/loading of vehicles with all long-term parking to be accommodated in the deck. The preferred spots were then assigned the closest available spots within the deck. Additionally, we provided a photo of the signage indicating that the up close spots were temporary spots designated specifically for loading/unloading. This explanation was accepted in the final review, and we were awarded the points.
