Good morning.I am working on a LEED project that was registered under LEED EB: O&M 2009 that classifies as LEED campus as well. The campus has 3 buildings with a shared parking and I am having trouble categorizing the parking lot on Energy Star. I saw that there is also a "Campus category" in Energy Star and my question is, should I use that to create the Energy Star portfolio manager, that is, creating the 3 "child buildings" and then the "parent campus"? Or should I just divide the parking into 3 equal spaces and explain it under "special circumstances"?

Hi Francisco,
Is the parking garage submetered for energy consumption? If so, I would exclude it from the Portfolio Manager profile completely. If it's not, I would include the parking garage with the building profile that includes its energy use and exclude it from the other two buildings.

I agree with Ben, in a project that we are about to submit for review we got a better rating subtracting the energy consumption from the parking. If I were you I would install the energy meters asap so that you can start your performance period right away.
