NC-v4 EAc5:Renewable energy production

Sewer line heat recovery as a renewable resource?

We have a large sewer interceptor runnning through our site and are looking to tap into that heast source for district space conditioning. Has anyone seen any precedent on whether this source could be considered renewable under LEED? It strikes me as more of a heated source akin to true geothermal as opposed to geo-exchange, but I can't find any precedent. The pipe goes through the site regardless and is independent of the project otherwise.

Thank you!

How would you access this heat source?

Jennifer, were you able to confirm this approach?
