Are there any conflict of interest concerns if a contractor hires the air testing company versus the owner or A/E?

When I was doing the IAQ testing it was for the contractor. I did not have any conflicts of interest; however, if there were problems, the contractor would just give up on the credit and not address the issue(s) causing failure. The owner may have been more concerned.
