We received a LEED approved certificate concerning VOC emissions for Polyethylen Foam products. This certificate does not concern a specific manufacturer but a group of manufacturers, hence it does not list any specific product. In order to reach credit compliance for a Polyethylen Foam product from one of the manufacturers, would this generic certificate be a valid document for the LEED credit EQ Low-Emitting Materials?

No, a generic certificate would most likely not be acceptable. A few reasons: The testing needs to be product specific. Can you prove that the material tested is the exact material you are using and not just in the same family of materials? Also I have to question the validity of the certificate. LEED does not approve products or materials so I am unsure how you obtained a LEED approved test certificate? I would dig deeper into the certificate origins if you are going to use it.
