Hello, our project is connected to an existing building on the same lot. Can we exclude the existing building's roof surface from our credit calculations?

Is the existing building within your LEED Project Boundary? If the scope of your project does not include the existing building and you can meet all LEED v4 prerequisites and MPR without the existing building, it makes sense to exclude the existing building from the LPB and thus from Heat Island Reduction credit calculations. It is important to show the LPB consistently across all credits.
