Municipal law requires that our building be completely smoke-free inside. It also bans smoking next to the building, but it’s not as stringent as the 25 foot LEED requirement. Do we have to make another policy that bans smoking within 25 feet?

We want to designate a smoking area less than 25 feet from an emergency exit. Is this okay since that door is rarely (if ever) used?

The project has a designated indoor smoking lounge located on the ground floor that has a separate entrance - more than 25 feet away from building entrances. The exhausts are fitted with filters, also more than 25 feet away. The lounge is negatively pressured. Does this qualify?

Hi Pablo! It is my understanding that in v4 smoking rooms are no longer permitted.

Thank you Gabriela. I'll relay to the client. The other option I can think of is to retain this smoking area and just make it naturally ventilated. Kindly confirm if this will suffice. regards, Pabs
