NC-2009 SSc8:Light Pollution Reduction

Parking Canopy Lighting

We have a permanent free standing canopy over all of the parking spaces on site. Would this fall under the canopy allowance for lighting power density calculations? Under ASHRAE 2007 90.1, 9.4.5 allowances are: Canopies and Overhangs - 1.25 W/sq ft Uncovered Parking Areas - .15 W/ sq ft Thanks in advance
