Healthcare-v2009 SSp2:Environmental site assessment

LOCAL EQUAVALENT - WHERE EIA IS NOT COMMONLY DONE (INDIA)

Dear Sir, We have registered a 200 bed Multispecialty hospital in India under LEED V2009 BD+C Healthcare rating system. We have the State Pollution control Board permission (regulated under Section 25 of Water(Prevention and control ) Act,1974 and Section 21 of Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981) to construct this project & there is no other statuary compliance required to construct this project. Is this document is sufficient to show compliance for the credit SSP2:Environmental Site Assessment, as a local equivalent. Kindly please advice.

Assuming the site had not been contaminated and remediated, the document you received from the State Pollution Control Board would be sufficient as a local equivalent of the Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (as described in ASTM E1527-05).
