Homes-v4 EQc6:Enhanced garage pollutant protection

Garage exhaust fan criteria

I have a living area over a garage and, per LEED protocol, I need an exhaust fan in the garage that will allow 3 air changes per hour. Calculations call for min 345 cfm in my case. Problem is, I don't even know if it's possible to find an Energy Star exhaust fan that has this high of cfm rating. I'm running out of places to look. Any help out there? Thanks

Hi, Phil -- That sounds high! Is it an unusually large garage? For some reason I'm having trouble finding the credit language just now -- are you working with v4 or the earlier version? On past projects clients have used standard bath fans, but those are definitely not going to provide that kind of capacity. An alternative might be a kitchen range hood.
