Hi,
I have a quick question regarding LEED for Homes Multi-family Mid-rise EA Pre-req 1 - Option 2 (see reference document here - http://www.usgbc.org/sites/default/files/Energy%20and%20Atmosphere%20p%2... )
Items B and C in this option are indicated to apply towards 'central commercial heating, cooling, water heating and ventilation systems'. My project is multi-family residential only and has individual unit mechanical systems for heating/cooling, hot water and ventilation. Even the common areas will have unitary systems. In this case, do items B and C no longer apply to my project?
Thanks in advance for your clarification.

I am not as familiar with the multi-family but your reasoning appears sound. I would guess the common area unitary systems would need to be treated like a unit related to duct leakage. Or perhaps the common areas would need to be commissioned and the testing would be pretty straight forward. My recommendation is to develop your case of why you feel that B and C do not apply to your project and then request a conference call with reviewers. Discuss in the form of "this is how we interpret this situation and would like to confirm it with you."
