NC-2009 IEQc6.1:Controllability of Systems—Lighting

Cafeterias with kiosks,

We are currently working on a cafeteria project for a campus project. The cafeteria has several food serving kiosks (zones) distributed across the dining floor plan. Each of these zones have separate lighting controls but the controls are not local to those zones. The lighting controls will be set in the Lutron program, set on a schedule/pattern of use.Would this suffice the requirements of this credit. If not what would be the best approach to the situation?

Aishwarya, I would say that only if occupants are able to control or override the Lutron program from within the food serving kiosks (zones) would these spaces contribute toward credit compliance.
