We are working on a shopping mall project in whcih there will be many retail spaces. Some of the tenants will design their own ventilation systems and provide their own AHUs. Could you confirm if we can exclude these spaces from our calculations documenting compliance with ASHRAE air flow rate requirements (this means that floor area included in the calculations would be smaller than the building area documented in PIF) but instead provide a fragment of a lease agreement which requires the tenants to comply with ASHRAE requirements?
Some comments on LEEDuser indicate that this should be acceptable however the LEEDonline form says:
"Complete the following documentation section assuming all tenant work has been completed and conforms to the
requirements of the sales and/or lease agreements. For required uploads, provide all available documentation pertaining to the Core & Shell project scope and anticipated tenant work."
What if we don't have tenants' ventilation project?

You could submit it as other have suggested if that is less work. Then see what GBCI says. If you pass you've saved yourself some work. If you don't, you just do the work in the resubmittal.
