Ds of VAV

The Ds is determined by dividing the minimum VAV terminal primary air volume during heating mode by the peak VAV terminal primary air volume during cooling mode. What is a reasonable range of Ds? Is 30%~70% a reasonable range of Ds?

Probably 30% when the VAV box includes reheat. May be more than 30% when if the VAV box does not include reheat and serves an interior space with no envelope heat loss. Perhaps 50%. My apologies for not providing a more specific response. The Ds values can be calculated by the HVAC designer.
