EBOM-v4 EQc9:Integrated pest management

Advance notice of not less than 72 hours before pesticide use

Hello. Did the requirement of an advanced notice of not less than 72 hours before a pesticide under normal conditions got erased from EBOM v4?

I had a similar question. From what I can ascertain, according to LEED v4 EQc9, at a minimum, the facility manager must now notify "... any building occupant or employee who requests it" and post a sign at the application site, which must remain in place for 24 hours; whereas for an emergency application of a pesticide, "... anyone who requested notice must be notified within 24 hours of the application and given an explanation of the emergency."

The notification requirement has changed a bit in v4. The Changes from LEED 2009 section on page 525 of the Reference Guide says: "The 72-hour window for alerting building occupants that a non-least-risk pesticide application was going to occur has been shortened to 24 hours." It's not written very clearly but I believe the safest option is to post a sign when the product is applied, and leave it up for 24 hours.
