CS-2009 SSc4.2:Alternative Transportation—Bicycle Storage and Changing Rooms

number of showers to provide

When you are determining the number of showers to provide per FTEs and the total required for example is 3. Is it okay to have one shower/changing room for men, one shower/changing room for women and then one unisex shower/changing room.

I don't see a problem with that approach. You are required to assume a 50/50 gender split for total FTE's, so as long as you don't have more showers accessible to one gender than the other, it should be fine.

If 3 showers are required, can this requirement be met by providing a communal shower with two shower heads in the men's locker room and a communal shower with two shower heads in the womens's locker room?

Cathy, the reference guide does say that facilities can be unit showers or group showers, so that approach should be acceptable.
