The envelope data for old building (baseline) are not avaiable

Hi, I am modeling campus building under major renovation. But since that building was built in 1968, no envelope data available (no spec. no BOD) about the U-value or SHGC for the wall, roof or window. In this case, can I use the Table 5.5 in ASHREA 90.1 for the baseline's envelope data instead?I would really appreciate it if you give me advice.

No you can't use the Table 5.5X values. You must either model the existing condition or use the Tables at the end of Appendix A in 90.1. For the wall and roof construction there should be a way to determine the construction type and whether there is existing insulation. You may have to actually visit the building and do some forensics. For the windows it is probably best to use Table A8.2.
