CS-2009 SSc5.2:Site Development—Maximize Open Space

Private Green Roof

Hi, I am working in a C&S LEED project and have doubts about vegetation that it expect to use for meet the 25 % of open space area. In the project roof top there are a private terraces that according with the requirements of this credit it not count for open space. However, inside this terrace there are green areas that I assume it can count. But if this green areas are part of a private area, can it to be included in the calculations?. Hi Sergio, Since the green areas are part of the private area, it does not count. The areas have to be accessible to all occupants in order to contribute to the credit. This is also mentioned in the FAQs above.
