Renovation project automatically complies?

Our client is renovating an existing industrial building to lease it out to prospective tenants. The work will be limited to core and shell, and the project is pursuing LEED 2009 C&S. Does it automatically complies with this credit since it's "previously developed"? Thanks for your feedbacks.

The project is previously developed but you still have to verify that the site is compliant with the requirements of the above definitions. Ofcourse, a previously developed site can skip some of the requirements.
