Domestic Hot Water Consumption

Dear Forum, If we do not want to show any energy savings associated with hot water pumps for domestic hot water system, Section G3.1-11 states that service water loads and usage shall be the same for both models, do we use the baseline loads for the proposed model? Shall we include the low fixture flows in supplemental table 1.4? Thanks in advance

low flow hot water fixtures may impact on the water heating costs. ashrae requires the service water loads to be identicle, but leed (in the past) has accepted cost savings from reduced heating costs due to using less hot water. usually one submits the calculation based on the water credit.

The DHW pump power should be modeled identically as this is not regulated. Model the Proposed as designed. Use Table 1.4.5 to show the flow reduction and make sure it is consistent with WEp1 as Jean indicates.
