Hello,
I am currently working on the LEED assessment of a hotel. My understanding of the requirements is that hotel guests can be excluded from the calculation of cyclist provision required and I was wondering if someone could confirm.
Thank you very much

Alicia, according to LEED Interpretation 2422, hotel guests can be excluded from the on-site bicycle storage requirements. It is not anticipated that 'personal bicycles are a likely means of transportation for hotel guests (especially from the airport with luggage) to project site, and guests will have every means of reaching the hotel by public transportation.'
We've used this interpretation for a lot of our hospitality projects in v3 and never got caught by the reviewer. I would believe this is also applicable for v4.

Gustavo, I would not think a local sharing program will be acceptable in the credit requirements. The bike-racks should be relatively designated to the project users. Let me know if you hear otherwise.
