CS-2009 IDc1:Innovation in Design

Innovation in Design Path 1 & Exemplary Performance Path 2

1) It is my understanding that a project may pursue BOTH Path 1 and Path 2 to attempt up to 5 credits in this category. Correct? 2) Exemplary Performance (Path 2) is documented within eligible credits. I assume Exemplary Performance credits are not documented again within the Innovation In Design category on leedonline, correct? 3) If I am pursuing (3) exemplary performance credits, for example, is the project only eligible for (2) Innovation in Design credits, for a total of 5 possible credits? Thanks

You're right -- You can't get all 5 ID points for exemplary performance (limited to 3), so you'll need to use different paths if you want to earn all of the points. You DO have to document the exemplary performance credits in the ID credit section on LEEDonline, but it is a simple process -- They don't ask you to duplicate the information on the form or anything like that.
