SS PC27 - a short feedback

Dear all, A short feedback about our experience concerning LEED SS PC 27 use for a major refurbishment office project in France, under LEED for Core an Shell version 3. This Pilot Credit was aimed by the client due to its strong interest about building energy performance. Hence, this credit was useful to emphasize the role of the thermal building simulation as well as an accurate monitoring of works (follow up of thermal characteristics of materials, fenestration and energy systems). This credit was also useful to raise contractor’s awareness among the energy issues. Finally, we could say that this pilot credit was useful because it addresses a main issue that sustainable buildings are facing : the energy performance gap. I hope that helps. King regards
