Green Building Consultant as CXA

I need to first understand what you mean by "appoint". If that means "contract", then you are good. Under enhanced the CxA must be contracted to the owner or design team (but not the contractor). That is the best way, but there is a LI that allows a single contract, but I am going with what I feel is best. There is little "extra" documentation required other than what is listed in the credit and what is the standard of care for commissioning. For enhanced, you have to submit much more of that documentation. The only unique documents to LEED are the templates for the two credits, which are pretty straight forward. You will need to upload a copy of the CxA contract with a clear delineation of scope that matches the requirements for fundamental and enhanced, and specifically shows the 10 month warranty review, since that will not be done normally when submitting for certification.

I think we have an English translation issue here. Assign and appoint do not indicated contractual relationships. Just to be clear, and again this is my suggestion and recommendation, the CxA should have a CONTRACT with the Owner or Design Team with the appropriate scope. Yes, as long as your Green Consultant has the required commissioning experience, they can certainly be the CxA. Yes, you will need to upload a copy of the contract (the fees may be redacted) as PART of the overall documentation. LEED On-Line is very good at listing all the information that is required to be uploaded, and will not allow you to mark it complete until everything is uploaded. This is a community based and extremely effective site where you can access hundreds of years of equivalent experience with LEED and technical matters.
