Most of the furniture selections in out project have a certification from SCS Global which is an ANSI Accredited Product Certification. Is this an acceptable substitute to Greenguard?
If so, can you mix and match certifications - some Greenguard and some SCS Global?

Hi Steve,
SCS Global tests a number of products and systems (including Bifma level) but the certification implied here was probably SCS Indoor Advantage Gold for office furniture, which is a suitable substitute for Greenguard under option 2 above.

Hello,
I too have a project with systems furniture certified SCS Indoor Advantage Gold, however version 06 of the credit form for this credit now requires the following: "Provide ANSI/BIFMA testing details of the procedure and the emission factors from the large-chamber testing showing the calculations used in determining emission limits, complete with the air exchange rate. Test results and supporting calculations must be dated and signed by an officer of the independent laboratory where the testing was conducted." I don't find the testing data readily available for SCS Indoor Advantage certified products. Do reviewers consider SCS Indoor Advantage certificates to not contain adequate information/parameters?

Michael, I am running into the same thing. Did the GBCI review your SCS Indoor Advantage Gold certificates and find them acceptable? Also - with version 6 of the form, did you have to provide 20% of the documentation or 100%? (v3 of the form only required 20%, but v6 doesn't give a percentage). Any feedback from what you've learned would be helpful.

Hi Kristi,
I submitted the SCS Indoor Advantage Gold certificates and although detailed emissions results weren't provided on the certificate, the credit passed review for what it's worth. I provide 100% of the uploads, which has been requested in LEED v4 application reviews.
Good luck,
