Hello LEED Users, I am working on a project with a majority of the exterior being composed of aluminum curtain wall. The project will be installing exterior shading devices on most of the curtain wall as well. The reference guide recommends this as a way to ward off birds as well as the other obvious benefit of blocking unwanted sunlight and heat gain. The shades are vertical aluminum panels similar to very large louvers. Is this an acceptable practice while still allowing views to the exterior? In my opinion yes but am curious of others experience. Thanks!
