We are working on a major renovation healthcare project for a four story building which is fully owned by the owner. The major renovation is only happening on the first and second floors and it might be a couple of years before the third and fourth floors go under renovation, so they would be considered shell space for now. Is it possible to certify this building as a whole building with LEED NC 2009? If so how do we calculate the FTE, transients and regularly occupied spaces if we're not sure what the function would be later?
