NC-2009 IEQp1:Minimum IAQ Performance

Centrifugal closed-circuit cooling tower minimun distances

Dear all, Do centrifugal closed-circuit cooling towers have to comply with table 5-1, of ASHRAE 62.1-2007? In our project, the closest distance from the cooling tower to the DOAS is 6 meters (horizontally) and the discharge is on the top of the tower (3 meters tall). Are we complying with 62.1-2007? Thanks in advance. AL

You need to be 25 ft from the exhaust and 15 feet from the intake. These are areas of moisture laden air with chemical contaminants. The distance is actual distance in space, not horizontal projection.
