EBOM-2009 WEp1:Minimum Indoor Plumbing Fixture and Fitting Efficiency

Bathtubs

Dear All, Our project is a high-class hotel. We are checking the compliance with WEp1 but we can't find what is the baseline for bathtubs. Can we assume that tub is the same fixture group as shower (with 2.5 gpm baseline)? (Showers are also in those bathrooms but have separate fixture). Thank you in advance for your replies.

Hi Agata, bathtubs are not covered by this prerequisite. Since bathtub faucets are used to fill a basin, having a low flow doesn't really do anything useful. The shower fixture is what you should focus on for this one.

Hi Trista, Just to follow through this question, is there an official document from USGBC which we can use that states bathtub faucets are excluded in the prerequisite? We hope to use it as a backup document when we upload documents to LEED Online

Hi Trista, This question is a bit late but is there an official document from USGBC which we can use stating that bathtub faucets are excempt? We hope to use it as an attachment when we submit to LEED Online. Thank you!
