NC-2009 MPR6:Must commit to sharing whole-building energy and water usage data

MPR 6 & USGBC Energy and Water Data Release form

Could we get a confirmation on whether the utility release form is still applicable? In a LEED 2009 new PI Form 1 (v05), there are only 2 options for data sharing, and it does not mention the utility release form, although the document is still available under credit library / resources. The PI Form 1 (v04) has that requirement under option 1. Also - can any project opt to use the v05 instead of the v04? It would make the 1 pt option under EAc5, M&V much more attainable for a few projects... Thanks!

Katie - I'm still waiting for USGBC to tell me where to send the Utility Release Form from a project that certified in August 2014 and used the v04 version of the PIf1 form. I assume it’s not being used anymore… The 3rd option under EAc5 was added as a correction to the Rating System and Reference Guide (called an addendum then – but now a correction) in 2011 - http://www.usgbc.org/leed-interpretations?keys=100000772. The v04 version of the EAc5 form shows this option. As this was a correction, you can use it at your team's discretion if it's after your team's registration date. If it's before, you are required to use it - http://www.usgbc.org/resources/leed-interpretations-and-addenda-database. You can upgrade your project to v05 version of the PIf1 form. I don't think there's any restrictions. Read more about form fixes here - http://www.usgbc.org/sampleforms/v3.
