Getting Buildings (inside certified Neighborhood)LEED certified

Dear Experts I have project outside the US consist of 508 building inside one development (more than 190 acre) where 90% of these buildings will be residential but it will include basic services (bank, schools , mosques ..etc) the developer is looking to certify this development under the LEED rating system , we think about the neighborhood rating system for the whole development but the question now and in addition to the LEED ND certification , do we able to certify the 508 building under any LEED rating system for the purpose of getting a certification for each building ? if yes , can you advise under which rating system should we register this big number of buildings Thanks

Yousef, LEED-ND 2009 GIBp1 requires at least one certified green building in an ND neighborhood, and GIBc1 offers up to 5 points for additional certified buildings. You can certify buildings under any other LEED program, such as New Construction or Homes given your project characteristics, or through a non-LEED system that uses a third-party review body that has been accredited by an International Accreditation Forum accreditation body, or is in compliance with International Standards Organization Standard 17021 or 17065, or Guide 65. For example, BREEAM certification programs are acceptable (except Refurbishment). Picking a building system will depend on whether your residential buildings are single-family, small multi-family, or large multi-family. Eliot
