NC-2009 PIf1:Minimum Program Requirements

Certifying an addition to an existing building with LEED NC

Hello, we are working on a project, an addition to an existing building and we would like to certify but don't know if LEED NC would apply. The existing building is a shopping mall in a dense urban area, the addition to the building consists of two levels of underground parking and commercial/retail space. From the existing building, the addition adds up to 30% of the retail areas and 100% of parking areas. Could we use LEED NC 2009 for this addition and certify only this portion?

Veronica, it is possible to pursue LEED NC for additions - check out the MPR #2 forum for more information: http://www.leeduser.com/credit/NC-2009/MPR2
