NC-2009 EAp2:Minimum Energy Performance

Parallel PIU fan energy

My baseline is under system 6 in which the parallel PIU fans has to be introduced for each zones. I calculated the main supply fan power as per section G3.1.2.9 and inserted to eQuest under system supply fan tab in kW/cfm. Also I calculated the parallel PIU fan power as per section G3.1.3.14. and inserted to eQuest under zone terminals and fans using 0.5 zone fan ratio and 0.00035 kW/cfm. When the simulation is run, In SS-L, it only gives the supply and return fan energy. In SV-B it only gives the PIU fan power (kW) not the energy (kWh). Please advise on how to incorporate the PIU fan energy for the total energy value. Should I do a manual calculation with PIU fan kW (mentioned in SV-B) and main supply fans' running hours or is there any alternative for this?

Not sure why it is not showing up. You should not do a manual calculation. Maybe there is a schedule issue? I would suggest that you post this question on the eQUEST Users discussion group since it is software specific. You can join at onebuilding.org.
