EBOM-2009 MPR5:Must comply with minimum occupancy rates

LEED EBOM application day

We are a newly built hospital overseas. We have completed construction last April. But we're not operating yet. The hospital will be welcoming first patient in March /April 2015, and occupancy will be 70-100%. We're planning LEED EBOM 2009 certification targeting most credits and all energy credits. When can we apply for LEED certification? In March/ April 2015? or only 12 month after opening? Thank you for your directions.

Hopefully you got an answer to this before now. You'll need to have an eligible period entered to ENERGY STAR, so you'll need to discuss when you originally reach an eligible occupancy rate, and then start your ENERGY STAR period from then. From your description, March 2015 will be the start of your energy performance period, not the end.
