We´re working on a landscape project in a hot&dry city and a drought-resistant grass is being proposed. In addition, a hidrogel under-layer is proposed for the grass in order to maintain humidity and reduce water requirement. My question is regarding how to document it: Is the hidrogel strategy something we can use as an argument for water saving? And if so, should we just use a lower species factor for the grass, being that it would require less irrigation because of the hidrogel?
