Hello,
We have a 100 yr old masonry chapel on our site that we are in the process of registering as a historic building. The process takes several months to a year. Can we achieve this credit with documentation explaining the historical significance of the structure and that it is in the process of being registered as historic? (This is just incase the registration process is still on going when we submit)
thanks!

Tom, the ND Reference Guide says "If the project has a historically significant building that has not been officially listed as historic, the project team can apply for...listing, and if the building is designated, the project will be eligible for the credit." That said, if you submit under Stage 1 or 2, and include a summary of the pending designation proposal, along with a commitment letter to complete the designation process, you might be able to earn the point. But you would definitely need to have the designation in hand by the time you submit for Stage 3.
