We are pursuing a LEED EBOM certification. The LEED Certification Policy Manual offers the project team two more opportunities to add new credits and prerequisites after the initial submittal. The first opportunity is when the project team submits the response to the GBCI preliminary review and the second one is as an appeal after the final GBCI “awarded” and “denied” ruling. Does the performance period for the new credit need to follow the project performance period and overlap with credits submitted 85 or 115 days prior in the initial application package? Are they flexibilities with the performance period for credits added to the project through an appeal process?

Hi Bahareh,
Apologies that your post went unanswered for so long. It's likely too late to be much help now, but I'd say there's generally some flexibility in this situation, depending on the credits you want to add. Since your post is from quite a while back I'd be curious to hear what credit(s) you added, what you decided to do for the performance period, and if the credits were awarded. Thanks!
