How is ASHRAE 6.4.3.1.2 5 degree deadband interpreted? 70-75 deadband provides six temperatures in which the thermostat is "dead". 70-74 deadband provides 5 temperatures in which the thermostat is "dead".
Also, has anyone received a comment from a LEED reviewer stating that ASHRAE 6.4.3.1.2 was not accurately modeled?
thanks.

75 minus 70 = 5
This issue is not something that the reviewer typically looks for in the modeling inputs. Since the temperature settings must be the same in both models (which the reviewers do check on if the input summary reports contain that information), modeling something less than 5 degrees would have no real impact on the relative energy use. So I am not aware of this being an issue within a LEED review but it certainly could be since it is a mandatory provision.
