EAp2 Labeling Mechanical Equipment

Hello, Fact or Fiction: For EAp2 ASHRAE 90.1 §6.4.1.5.1 all mechanical Equipment must have a Label installed by the manufacturer stating that the equipment complies with the requirements of Standard 90.1 even in countries outside even of the US? Background : We have a project outside of the US where the mechanical equipment is not covered by the U.S. National Appliance Energy Conservation ACT of 1987 and suppliers normally do not put on the 1987 equivalency label. We are working with 2014 European standards. So what should we do? How can we show Construction Stage compliance? Can we meet this requirement if the mechanical equipment manufacturers put on the EU current standard? Or is getting the HVAC design team to electronically sign the LEED ONLINE check box sufficient?
