Showers in retail project

It's true, the tenant's role is addressed by the tenant agreement which references ID+C Retail language. Is your project a single-tenant or multi-tenant building? Is it all retail, and are there any common areas?

Looking at the BD&C Reference Guide page 49, it looks like any Core and Shell project under CS Case 1 or Case 2 has to provide a shower for retail employees.

Looking at the building, if this is a single story building with no common areas (such as a strip mall) I can see how there might not be many "core" spaces, only shell, and it would be atypical for the owner to provide showering facilities. That might be why this credit is worth 2 points under CS but only 1 in NC or Schools, as it would represent greater effort on the part of the owner and represent greater “leadership.”
