Contacting the LEED Reviewer (Aiming Platinum)

You can go through GBCI. It will take several weeks to get a response. http://www.gbci.org/org-nav/contact/Contact-Us/Project-Certification-Questions.aspx Take time to word your question very carefully and quote the LEED review comment. Explain that you are asking about EAp2 & EAc1.

Our experience has been a little different. We have regularly contacted the assigned GBCI review team using the Contact Us portion of the LEED On-Line, and normally in a week or so get a time set up to have a conference call. For all the reasons you mention, this has been extremely useful feedback so we can get the best opportunity possible to answer their question before answering. I recommend trying it, as it has worked very well for us. Full disclosure here…we did not always prevail in this process, but we avoided an appeal which is just as important. We also learn something, and make sure to broadcast that within the firm for the next submittal. Good luck!

using the feedback button, the GBCI contact us page, or something other avenue? I have had good luck getting clarification on review comments. The past 3 questions I've asked have taken at least 3 weeks to get answered though. It may depend on which review team your project has and how complicated your question is? I'm really glad we're able to get answers to questions and in some instances correct an errant LEED review comment. For example, I was recently told that my green power purchase volume had to match my energy model energy use. My project did not complete an energy model;we used a prescriptive option. We were able to clarify this through GBCI instead of taking a gamble in the final design review.

We have used both the feedback and the contact us. Not sure on why timing might be so different. Ours were not in a week, but I do not remember any taking 3 weeks either.
