NC-2009 IEQc6.1:Controllability of Systems—Lighting

Submitting in excel format instead of filling out form

Has anyone ever submitted an excel sheet for this credit in lieu of filling out the whole form. We look at this credit really early in design and tend to use an excel sheet listing every room, whether it's occupied or unoccupied, whether it's multi-occupant or single occupant. Then we make sure we have a compliant type of lighting control. It's a real waste of time to transfer this to the online form. I'm wondering if submitting this as an alternative compliance path would be copacetic. Afterall, the marketing department at LEED promotes efficiency like this. Their video for the new version of LEED online uses the statement "Focus your time earning credits instead of documenting them."

Hi Kathryn, I have submitted an excel sheet before and have had success. Just make sure you aren't leaving out anything important in your excel sheet that a reviewer thinks is only covered in the Credit Form.
