ND-v2009 NPDc8:Transportation demand management

Baseline of NPDc8

Hi For this credit, it says that create a TDM program for the project to reduce 20% at least weekday peak-period motor vehicle trips compared with a baseline case. So what is the baseline case? Can this be some kind data from here in China or from US? Thanks a lot!

Jie, for U.S. baseline vehicle trip rates, the LEED-ND reference guide recommends trip rates published by the Institute of Transportation Engineers (www.ite.org), or trip rates used by transportation planning agencies with jurisdiction over a project. For base rates in China, you should obtain similar values from transportation planning organizations, and then share that information and the source with USGBC ND staff to confirm that it will be acceptable.
