Hot Water Energy Consumption in big buildings

Good evening, I have a question regarding a situation that I have encountered in more than one project: Suppose that for a big shopping mall there is a hot water demand for fast food areas and showers for employees, but the total hot water energy consumption corresponds to less than 2% of the total energy demand of the building (the rest is electricity). Is it necessary to inlcude the Hot Water System into the energy models and in the documentation for EAp2? In my opinion, since the contribution to the whole energy demand is so low, there is no need to include them in the models.

The credit language clearly states that you must include all of the energy within and associated with the project. That sounds pretty clear to me.
