NC-2009 EAc1:Optimize Energy Performance

Energy simulation software

Hello, I have some experiences with energy modelling in eQuest, but I would like to change my software to something else. I need to advise, which of following software I can use for LEED certification. Design-Builder, Green Building Studio, EnergyGauge, Open Studio, Simergy, Bentley AECOsim, Bentley Hevacomp. Obviously I can use software mentioned in Apendix G. Thanks a lot.

LEED defers to Appendix G on this issue. G2.2 delineates the features required in the software. I know that Design-Builder, Bentley and Simergy are based on EnergyPlus. Energy Gauge is based on DOE2.1E. Not sure if Green Building Studio does everything needed for LEED. Open Studio is a suite of add-ons to help with modeling in EnergyPlus.
