NC-2009 EAp2:Minimum Energy Performance

Equipment not certified by AHRI but with the same efficicency

In the plase of construction i have an HVAC equipment not certified by AHRI. It therefore does not comply with ASHRAE 90.1 section 6 mandatory 6.4.1. The HVAC Manufacturer is LG with model ARUV 160BBT3, where their origin is Korean and provided this equipment is for the European market, the standards that meet both energy efficiency and quality control are not for the American market. It is the reason why not certified in AHRI. Remote control manufacturer to certify in AHRI a line for the American market. Performance and capacity is exactly the same as your model is the ARUN 144BT3 and already is currently in directory of AHRI 1230, it is concluded that the team I get to work has the same characteristics but without certification. The question is if I can comply with the EA-PR-02 documenting the mandatory and energy model with data from the certified equipment or are required to purchase a new computer with AHRI certification. What if i send a CIR? Many thanks in advance.

All you have to do is demonstrate that the equipment efficiency is equivalent. If you can show that the models are basically the same then that should be sufficient.
