NC-2009 IEQc6.1:Controllability of Systems—Lighting

Multiple Mode

I need to know what is meant by the "Multiple Mode" mentioned in the the scorecard form under the "Lighting Control Type"? and if I have both; task lighting and on/off switch for ambient lighting, do I choose this multiple mode? thanks in advance

Omar - I believe what is meant by "multiple mode" is the type of panel control often used in meeting rooms or auditoriums, where there are several pre-set options for lighting levels (e.g., high, low, favorite, etc.). If you are looking at the Individual Workspaces section of the Form, the type of controls you need will depend on the individual space -- task lighting for workstations is required, but on/off switches for private offices is ok. Task-lighting for private offices is also good, but I believe you only need to list one if you have both.
